Spooky Jones and Fast Nasty - Hypno Roll EP release [DUBSTEP]

Well I am a day later then promised, I ended up getting stuck on a lake.

I am proud to present the release of the Hypno Roll EP by Spooky Jones and Fast Nasty, released yesterday, May 30th on Abstract Logic Recordings. It is now available on Addictech. I've assembled a near four minute preview of the four track EP, but first I'd like to describe a little about each of the songs first.

Hypno Roll is the first track that is heard on the EP, and it's also clearly the title track. It's a hard hitting tune, with echoing siren like noises that quickly work together into a build up that leads to thick bass and a series of chopping wobbles. Throughout the song the sounds continue to get manipulated and twisted and only stop briefly until assaulting the senses again.

Sex Stain is the second collaborative track on the EP. The other two songs are solo tracks by Spooky Jones and Fast Nasty respectively. In the background uplifting notes play quickly while the bass is at it's thickest, possibly, of the entire EP.

Red Desert is Spooky Jone's solo track. It slows things down compared to the other three tracks, and is placed perfectly when listening to the EP entirely. It's also a great stand alone track too. This song could easily be played out at a party or in the middle of a set to cool things down.

Push My Buttons is the solo track from Fast Nasty. It speeds things up again and closes out the EP nicely. The intro of the song is short and sweet, and I love the use of odd sounds through the course of the song. Be prepared to be grooving to odd dings and bells that work seamlessly together.

Seb Marx - Hackney Feva (Gush Records) [DUBSTEP]

Seb and Ruth from Gush Records in the UK contacted me last week on Soundcloud and asked me how they could get some shine on the blog. I asked for some promos and if the music was good I would post them on the site. Well the music is good my friends. I received a hand full of tracks and all were good and unique in their own ways, and they hit upon everything in the EDM world, from progressive electro to dubstep.

You can hear more of their music at their Soundcloud, and also you can check out their releases on Beatport. Like I said they mix and mingle with a bunch of cool sounds. I would describe it as a wobble filled tune with awesome chopped vocals and despite being a bit sinister, has the spirit of an electro banger. Netsky is my favorite producer, John B is "cool" some Danny Byrd but that's about it. Now I got the "The Brookes Brothers Ft. Johnny Osbourne - In Your Eyes (BBK042) Promo Vinyl"...yeah promo vynil for you! :) So don't even look for it on Beatport or anywhere else unless you can get your hands on the real vynil. In your eyes is a pure dubstep banger with classic vocals on it but on the other side, The Big Blue is a great DnB choon, epic imo

I have heard and read quite a bit of bad reviews fro this track, personally i don't see why would you even call this track "bad" because of it's vocals, i think they are what makes the tune even better!!! After a brief spell of silence, Breakdown is back to break eardrums with two new remixes commissioned by Sydney Samson "Riverside".

Breakdown's remix of Alvaro & Punish's "Cubata" has summer anthem written all over it. It's big tribal percussion, huge builds and a catchy drop do the job day or night. On the other hand, the "De Piano" remix is more of a peak time, high energy, party rocker.
