Next is an artist I discovered via Soundcloud and that I was soooo surprised by the quality of his work! He goes by the name, Tom Molloy. I really love his remixes, loungy-trancy-housy just the way I like it! Download his tracks and post some comments to show him so love!
92 Eternal is a new all-star trio comprised of our very own AC Slater, Juiceboxx, & Amy Douglas. Their first single, “The Feeling” is an ode to early 90’s rave music, of which these three are so well acquainted.
One of the most popular drum'n'bass acts of the early 21st century, Pendulum are an Australian group based in the United Kingdom. Formed in Perth in 2002, the group was originally comprised of producers Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, who worked in tandem with a local DJ named Paul "El Hornet" Harding. One of the team's initial releases, "Vault," became a sensation amid the drum'n'bass community in 2003, benefiting greatly from high-profile placement at the beginning of J Majik's FabricLive mix album. The track was also licensed for placement on several other CDs, including Adam F and DJ Fresh's Breakbeat Kaos mix album for Ministry of Sound. Other early productions such as 2003's "Spiral" and 2004's "Another Planet" — released by Adam F and DJ Fresh on their Breakbeat Kaos label — were also well-received in the drum'n'bass community.
In 2005, Pendulum made their full-length album debut, Hold Your Colour, featuring the singles "Tarantula" and "Slam." That same year, the group scored its biggest hit to date with a remix of the Prodigy classic "Voodoo People," which broke into the Top 20 of the U.K. singles chart. All of this success in 2005 culminated with an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 that arrived late in the year. Following a couple one-off singles — "Painkiller" (2006; featuring the Freestylers) and "Blood Sugar" (2007) — Pendulum signed to Warner Music U.K. and made their major-label debut with 2007's "Granite," a Top 30 hit. "Propane Nightmares" (2008), their second release on Warner, was an even bigger hit, breaking into the Top 20 and setting the stage for their second full-length album, In Silico (2008).
Immersion is Pendulum's third album featuring brand new material, Immersion is released on 24th May 2010 with 15 brand new tracks.
Taking influences from the minimalism of Detroit techno and the dancefloor grooves of early house music and disco, Femme En Fourrure make music that is explicitly uncompromising.
Consisting of Juuso and Bianca and hailing from Helsinki, Finland, FEF is an act that emphasizes foremost style in their musical output - and distinguished imagery. Still, they don't wish to take themselves too seriously, and also this is evident in the most important aspect of all. The music.
Minimal yet lush, both airy and bass-heavy, bringing au courant into established, topped with candid sultry lyrics, their tracks induce a force to be reckoned with. World class DJ's such as Brodinski, Sinden, Stretch Armstrong and Edu K are just a few examples of those who have played and embraced the sounds of Femme En Fourrure.
The producer trio of Justin Boreta, Ed Ma, and Josh Mayer, also known as the Glitch Mob, has been a prominent force in the realm of crunchy, danceable hip-hop beats over the past few years. They toured basically everywhere and made a huge name for themselves in the festival scene. They tackled remixes for TV On The Radio and Evil Nine, among others, while dropping the atmospheric intensity known as the Crush Mode mixtape. All that was missing was the group's proper debut. Until now. Drink The Sea marks the Glitch Mob's first official record and it comes out on their own label, Glass Air. You can hear the album's first leak here.
A huge Electro House stormer from Bruno Barudi kicks off with the standout Electrixx Mix of Fucking Music.
I'm hearing a lot of Deadmau5 in this mix which isn't a bad thing though particularly in the bass - it screams a Deadmau5 Electro House style. Kids on the dance floor love it so why deny them? The original mix isn't as much in your face but still a solid dance floor track. Lifestyle is another solid track on the release having a slightly similar feel to original mix of Fucking Music. It does have a vocal 'list' of things that is so typical of the Electro House genre. I'm so sick of hearing lists in music, can we please get rid of it? At least it's not so much in your face as other tracks that are being played around. I say stick to the Electrixx Mix for a sure thing.
POPE OF DOPE is the Partyharders' first release in collaboration with The Subs. The Subs are beyond introductions. Partyharders as well, but for those who have been living on another planet lately: the Partyharders Squad are incontournable in their hometown Liege. These electro wizards and graphic artists (with So Me) are about to conquer not only the rest of our country but the rest of Western Europe as well. Their electronic letterbox is crammed with invitations to the trendiest parties. Each month they travel to Paris to reside at the famous Social Club. Justice, Busy P, Crookers, Boys Noize, The Bloody Beetroots, Mr Oizo: just a few names you will discover in the Partyharders Squad's phone book. The track is the result of The Subs inviting Partyharders over for some first class partying, what else? When the spirits were high, someone had the luminous idea to do some vocals all of a sudden ... right? The Subs placed a mic in front of Mon Colonel's nose and the rest is history!
Following his ace drop on Fright Recordings, Anton Maiovvi assimilates his soul into an array of vintage hardware for Caravan. As the sleeve states "The Thorns Of Love is dedicated to those moments of murderous heartbreak" and sees Antoni articulate his pain via the medium of heroic Italo disco with oodles of arpeggiated basslines. 'This Is The Beast' cuts a melodramatic figure with cinamtic synth arcs and cruising machine rhythms. 'The Sigh From The Sky Was A Lie Without Doubt' hits a tender spot of throbbing disco with heartaching chord changes and 'Treason' really nails the vibe with a sparse solo piano composition. The 12 minute 'Class Dagger' furtively guides us from stirring Carpenter-esque kosmiche to bold rolling drums and onto a fantastical widescreen ending, before finishing with the trippy Balearic prog of 'Horsehead Blue'. As always Maiovvi's sense of narrative and structure is acutely tuned for maximum dramatic impact.
Mickey Moonlight (creator of the brilliant disco-not-disco gem "Interplanetary Music" is now back with a new EP of science-fiction exotica featuring a stellar cast of musicians; Lou Hayter (The New Sins, New Young Pony Club), Tahita Bulmer (New Young Pony Club), Anita Blay (TheCocknBullKid), Susumu Mukai (Zongamin). The Fullfat Horns: Jake Painter, Carl Sterling and Robin Harris. Sonny Akpan (The Funkies), Leo Taylor (The Invisible), Alex Thomas (live drummer for Air and Squarepusher). "Pelu Tolo" and "Love Pattern" are woozy summer-time disco-pop songs. "Pelu Tolo" tells the story of a young technician who will leave his true love and travel to a distant planet, never to return. "Tam #5" and "Tam #19" are time travel field recordings, chaotic fragments of Time Axis Manipulation. Bot’Ox and Isolee provide the remixes for both your pick time or after hours DJ sets.
The Dance sees Maxi Jazz, Sister Bliss and Rollo reach the bar that their back-cat sets so high, and Maxi reckons it's "chock-a-block with dance tunes which we hope will be the soundtrack to many Saturday nights for a while to come."
First single Not Going Home, already Pete Tong's Essential New Tune, is a stadium-like club symphony, a 7 minute sonic call-to-arms; Feel Me pulls vocals from synth-poppers Blancmange's 1982 track of the same name, turning Neil Arthur's voice into the cries of a maniac with a mic; Crazy Bal'heads is chilled post-club perfection; and Faithless family member Dido lends her shimmering tones to Feeling Good.
Also getting in the vocal booth for tracks on the album The Dance are Dougy Mandagi (The Temper Trap), Itch (The King Blues) and classical singer Mia Maestro.
JOHN DAHLBACK ALBUM! What an incredible collection of simmering future house music from one of the biggest producers in the world. 16 ORIGINAL TRACKS PLUS DJ MIX including mega collaborations with SEBASTIAN INGROSSO, MARK KNIGHT, DIRTY SOUTH and more.
